You Need to Go Face-to-Face

101 Tips for Interviewers and Interrogators

Stan B. Walters The Lie Guy® Blog

Just as there are many interview and interrogation techniques, investigators still have to work in many different venues and through various mediums when they conduct interviewing and interrogation.

In some but not all of those situations they may have no choice.  They may be forced to work over the phone, through a surrogate investigator who is on the scene, perhaps they are only working with written statements, work with audio recorded statements, statements taken by another investigator and more.

Of course the investigator also has to change their interviewing and interrogation style based on the venue and medium.

If the investigator has any choice during interviewing and interrogation, the best choice is going to be those that are done face-to-face.

Watch Tip # 15 of 101 Tips for Interviewers and Interrogators and see how you can improve your results during interviewing and interrogation by going face-to-face.
